Over the past year, the Hospital community has experienced not only moments of remembrance and reflection, but also occasions of great joy and renewal through the arrival of several new Brothers and Sisters who have joined our shared life since Advent last year.
The welcoming of Melanie, Linda, Jan and Dave, Michael, and Ada has brought fresh energy, companionship, and friendship into the heart of the Hospital community. Each has been warmly received by residents, staff, volunteers, and the wider Hospital family as they begin this new chapter of life within our community.
The spirit of welcome has long been central to the life of the Hospital, and throughout the year this has been clearly reflected in the kindness and support shown to our newest members. Whether joining in worship within the Chapel of the Holy Cross, participating in community gatherings, or sharing daily life together, each new Brother and Sister has already become an important part of our shared story.
Since Advent last year, the community has continued to grow not only in number, but also in fellowship and faith. The arrival of new residents has served as a reminder of the enduring Christian vision amd foundation of the Hospital — to provide a place of warmth, safety and sanctuary, prayer, dignity, and companionship for all who call it home.
Many within the community have spoken of the joy of seeing new friendships formed across generations and backgrounds, strengthening the bonds that make the Hospital such a special place. Their presence has enriched community life and brought renewed hope for the future.
As we reflect on the past year, we give thanks for the lives and experiences that Melanie, Linda, Jan and Dave, Michael, and Ada each bring to the Hospital family. We pray that they may continue to find peace, friendship, and belonging within our community for many years to come.
May God bless all our Brothers and Sisters, both old and new, who together make the Hospital a place of faith, compassion, and home.
