Ebor Hall
As part of the communal spaces enjoyed by members of the community, the Ebor Hall is a more recent addition, built discreetly on the rear of the mortuary building and store. The Hall was completed and dedicated in November 2015 on Founders Day.

The Hall carries the name ‘Ebor’ in acknowledgment of the old roman name for York and the link between the founder of the Hospital Robert Holgate who was the 59th Archbishop of York in 1545.

The glazed side of the Hall opens out onto the beautiful grounds extending the space available for use by the Brothers and Sisters. The kitchen is fully equipped.
This important multifunctional community hall is creatively divided to enable residents to have family gatherings, weekly community coffee mornings, craft sessions, domino competitions, cheese and wine fundraising events and many social and community celebrations. The staff organise community events throughout the year.
The level-access facilities ensure that the space is fully accessible to all. Ebor hall is not usually available for hire by outside groups. All enquiries should be directed to the Master.
